American Family Association: Stone To Death Killer Whale Who Killed Trainer | Huffington Post

The American Family Association, a religious right group, is urging that Tillikum (Tilly), the killer whale that killed a trainer at SeaWorld Orlando, be put down, preferably by stoning. Citing Tilly’s history of violent altercations, the group is slamming SeaWorld for not listening to Scripture in how to deal with the animal… However, the group is going further and laying the blame for the trainer’s death directly at the feet of Chuck Thompson, the curator in charge of animal behavior, because, according to Scripture… if one of your animals kills a second time because you didn’t kill it after it claimed its first human victim, this time you die right along with your animal. To use the example from Exodus, if your ox kills a second time, “the ox shall be stoned, and its owner also shall be put to death.” (Exodus 21:29)

I’m curious about the mechanics of this: do you bring the whale on land to stone it, or do you like drop cinder blocks from a diving board?

The inferrence in this passage is that it is domesticated animals (not that I advocate stoning any animals to death).  How exactly does a killer whale qualify if that inferrence is correct?  It is a wild animal that was caught and put in a gigantic fishbowl for fucks sake!  All wild animals ARE wild!  Just because we catch them and keep them does not mean they are tame.  And they  certainly shouldnt be killed for exhibiting their NATURAL tendencies!  These people are total fuck-tards!  Grrrrrrr!

I think the one word needed to describe the idea of how rediculous this is can be defined as ANIMAL… wtf? Get over it. The trainer did something she shouldn’t have. She wasn’t following protocol and because I love Animals? Tilly is a freaking animal, not a human that would normally be responsible for the death penalty… I think whoever suggested this should be stoned instead and see how it feels. Goodness gracious.
